Andrea Doria Revealed

Today the team was pleased to unveil one of the early ‘DLC’ ships to join the Grand Voyage fleet. You all know that the launch product will feature the RMS Empress of Ireland, SS Lakonia and R101 Airship - but soon after we’ll be looking to release future unique ships which will be their own, unique experiences (often referred to, in the gaming industry, as DLC or ‘downloadable content’). One of these early releases has today been revealed to be the Andrea Doria, the legendary liner lost in 1956 after a fateful collision. We chose the ‘Doria because we have many great references and she is a fairly unique ship that existed in a very interesting place and time, a true representation of Italy’s impressive postwar shipping boom.
